Sick of seeing the same old furniture, the same old walls, the same old carpet? Ready to move? Wait! Don't move.... redecorate.
It isn't as expensive as you might think...unless you are going to tear down walls. Here are some tips:
*Repaint the walls...paint isn't that expensive.
*Go to yard sales and second hand stores for furniture and what-nots.
*Make your own artificial flower arrangements (they don't die).
*Check with carpet stores for remnants....these can often be pieced together for very nice unique floor coverings.
*Sew slipcovers for the furniture...tablecloths for tables.
*Strip and refinish wood furniture.
*Check the classifieds for used furniture....there are some really good deals out there!
*Look around at what you want to do-fix or re-do what you can, make what you don't have or can't fix, buy second hand what you can't make, and only resort to buying new stuff when there is absolutely no alternative.
